Welcome to Leika (pronounced “Like-uh"), which is a Scandinavian word for “Play". We bring this Scandinavian aesthetic of simple sophistication and folk-art inspiration to each of our line’s five woodland animals: Fawn, Fox, Raccoon, Owl, and Bunny. Each of Leika’s character’s distinct personalities is brought to life in its coordinating designs, including a soothing teether, a board book of adventures, a huggable lovey, a charming rattle, and a soft toy. Leika offers a peek at a different culture’s joyful embrace of childhood and as an invitation into a world of whimsy, wonder, and imagination. In 1933, Mary Meyer started sewing unique companions for her children and neighbors. To this day, Mary's grandchildren and great-grandchildren continue that same tradition of building care and comfort into everything they create.
